Music so good if you threw it up into the air it’ll rain down upon you like sunshine.

Columbus, Ohioans and band Saintseneca do amazing things with music. In very capable hands, and heart, the trio’s music is blown like glass into fragile odes of sheer beauty. And although it’s been a while since we heard any news on the horizon in regards to a new full-length November saw the release of the Saintseneca EP which, “Only The Young Die Good,” is taken. Here’s hoping there is a new album in the works for 2013. Until then let me share another new track titled, “Mallwalker“. This is a live session recording with Zac Little doing what he does best; call-fire down from the mountain with his amazing soul-stirring voice. afghan whigs | lovecrimes (frank ocean cover)

What is it folks say about imitation being a compliment or something or other? I’m kidding! I know the adage is to express the greatest platitudes of flattery and Cincinnati’s Afghan Whigs have expressed it abundantly with their guitar-ridden cover of Frank Ocean’s “Lovecrimes”. I’d buy this, but as fortune would have it the Lovecrimes cover is available as a FREE DOWNLOAD. Also, the A-to-the-F are recently, and currently reunited and soon to be out on tour. John Jagos is most definitely Brothertiger. And the music, well it speaks for itself. With the release of his latest LP Golden Years out now, Brothertiger is setting himself up nicely for a stellar 2012. Check out the track, “Lovers” and you’ll hear the reason for my heart-on-the sleeve enthusiasm for this Toledo, Ohio native. And if you need further inducement to fall head over heels, listen to BT‘s  cover of The Smiths old school classic “Ask” it’ll kiss you right on your sweet spot,  Hush! You know where it is.
