the mercy beat | an act of mercy | sweet | video

The Mercy Beat hits low. They know what we like and they use it against us. Here they offer their track, “Sweet,” in a capsule of cinematic eye-candy. The video is nice but I reckon so is the rest of the aural anatomy that is sure to follow. I hereby dub TMB Seductive and majorly Rockeous. The last word I made up, totally apt. More please! saintseneca | happy alone | video | tour dates

Saintseneca is led by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Zac Little who originally hails from rural Appalachia. The band evolved playing acoustic performances alongside an array of electrified punk and hardcore bands at DIY house shows. On their upcoming record they combine a wide range of acoustic instrumentation with synthesizers and electric guitars to create a seamless blend of soaring vocals and vibrant post-punk energy. Check out their live performance of Happy Alone courtesy of Bad Racket. And look for their forthcoming Dark Arc release out April 1st via Anti, Inc. Pre-order on iTunes. nadine carina | the love | video

Nadine Carina
has a way of delivering a song entwined in a honey-jar-throated-timbre that leaves bees and humans wanting more. And much like light waves caught in in the pull of a black hole, one falls easily into her musical grace, beautifully inescapable. Watch the Shondel Bervini directed video for the first single taken from the Things That People Love To Remember EP, out now on On the Camper Records. Peace. born ruffians // countdown (beyoncé cover) video

Hailing from Ontario, Canada the band Born Ruffians are Luke Lalonde (guitar/vocals), Mitch Derosier (bass), Steven Hamelin (drums) and Andy Lloyd. And yes, they make beautiful rock indie music effortlessly, and recently they’re def one of my favorites bands to listen to. The boys are holed up in the lab right now, doing what they do, i.e.  making great music! I imagine soon enough they’ll sprinkle us with songs laced with fairy dust aplenty. But, until then let’s just enjoy a Beyoncé cover, as well as, a trip or two down Born Ruffians memory lane. Peace. Continue reading “born ruffians // countdown (beyoncé cover) video”

Kimbra // Settle Down (Video)

Something wonderful is happening down-under and it’s spreading like wildfire. Get ready for a hot summer and a Tsunami of above-par music from our brethren and sistren from Australia. Kimbra has a voice like melted sunshine and powered moonbeams and her song “Settle Down” just does it for me on so many levels. Take note, ’cause I’m sure we’ll be hearing a lot more from her. Plus, the video just kills. Kimbra’s U.S. debut album ‘VOWS’ will be released on May. However, the Settle Down EP is available now on iTunes. Peace.
