Embeds allowing bloggers to easily embed videos from Distrify. Just go to any Distrify film page or player and copy the URL. Paste that URL in any WordPress blog and it will automatically be converted to an embedded Distrify player. If you are logged in to distrify.com it will automatically add your affiliate tracking code to your embeds. Make sure you turn on Auto-embeds in your WP settings and also make sure that the URL is on its own line and not hyperlinked (clickable when viewing the post). The plugin also extracts the still image from the film and saves it as the Featured Image for the post. This actually works for any Embed (not just Distrify) that you embed into your WordPress blog. throwback thursday: tennis | mean streats

Alaina Moore and Patrick Riley hail from Denver, Colorado and together they form the super chill minimalist Pop twosome Tennis. And in my mind they make amiable companions on this rainy Michigan Thursday. The featured track Mean Streets is taken from their Small Sound EP (2013) courtesy of Communion Records. The only thing that could possibly make this track better is the having Fetty Wap drop a lil’ sumpin sumpin’ but other than that it is damn near perfection in three minutes and twenty three seconds. Peace.

Lyrics:

Summerin’ in the Catskills, baby
Singin’ just for the thrill
Everyone knows all about you, don’t they?
You’re doin’ it for the thrill
Hey hey hey hey hey heeey

Whatever’s left, you’ll find
You’ve got to give it what you got, now
You’ve got to give it what you got
Baby, it’s true, they’ll leave nothin’ for you
You’ve got to give it what you got, now
You’ve got to give it what you got

Laura, there’s nothin’ wrong with fame, yeeeah
Laura, you’ll never be the same

Didn’t you know they would love you, baby
Even more now that you’re gone?
Leavin’ them surreptitiously
Could make a hit out of any song
Hey hey hey hey hey heeey

Whatever’s left, you’ll find
You’ve got to give it what you got, now
You’ve got to give it what you got, oh oh
Stay on your own, or leave it alone
You’ve got to give it what you got, now
You’ve got to give it what you got

Laura, there’s nothin’ wrong with fame, yeeeah
Laura, you’ll never be the same

Born and raised in the mean streets
That’s where she learned how to keep the beat
Some say, “That girl’s got something
I heard her name half a million times”

Born and raised in these mean streets
That’s where she learned how to keep the beat
Some say that girl’s got something
I heard her name half a million times

Hustlin’ in the mean streets
That’s where she learned how to keep the beat
Some say, “That girl’s got something
I heard her name half a million times”

Born and raised in the mean streets
That’s where she learned how to keep the beat
Some say, “That girl’s got something
I heard her name half a million times”

Hustlin’ in the mean streets
That’s where she learned how to keep the beat
Some say, “That girl’s got something
I heard her name half a million times”.

Some voices grab you and demand that you pay attention. Alaina Moore is stalking my walking dreams in gossamer seductive, albeit aural form.

Ride with me. Come on just for a little while. Up above the treetops and out above the sleeping houses. Let’s make a left here and head west and float out over Lake Michigan. Now, look down below at the moonlight reflecting on the rippling waters. Now, close your eyes and just let yourself go. The band Tennis invokes such imagery, makes you feel like flying high and laying low. Their song “Origins” is just as seductive as it is charming and magnetic. Enjoy. Peace.
