Embeds allowing bloggers to easily embed videos from Distrify. Just go to any Distrify film page or player and copy the URL. Paste that URL in any WordPress blog and it will automatically be converted to an embedded Distrify player. If you are logged in to distrify.com it will automatically add your affiliate tracking code to your embeds. Make sure you turn on Auto-embeds in your WP settings and also make sure that the URL is on its own line and not hyperlinked (clickable when viewing the post). The plugin also extracts the still image from the film and saves it as the Featured Image for the post. This actually works for any Embed (not just Distrify) that you embed into your WordPress blog. We got a wonderful surprise in our email inbox this morning from the super über-couth gentleman comprising one of our favorite bands The Black Atlantic. The guys from The Netherlands sent the song “Rohirrim,” as a gift to all their faithful supporters (That’s us too). And I suspect in anticipation of their forthcoming sophomore release … Darkling, I Listen. The song was recorded in lead-vocalist Geert van der Velde‘s basement not long ago and it is a beauty. The lyrics are taken from a poem in chapter 6 of J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Two Towers.” How badass is that? Very! I’m wondering if perchance this so appropriate gem will somehow end up on the soundtrack of Peter Jackson’s highly anticipated Hobbit film? Fingers crossed. Many thanks to The Black Atlantic. Peace

Music by: Geert van der Velde

Rohirrim

Where now the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing?
Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing?

Chivalry dies with the riders of Rohan
Children of men before the Dark Years

Where is the hand on the harp-string, and the red fire glowing?
Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing?

Honesty dies with the riders of Rohan
Children of men before the Dark Years

They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow;
The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow.

Pride dies with the riders of Rohan
Children of men before the Dark Years

Who shall gather the smoke of the dead wood burning?
Or behold the flowing years from the Sea returning?

Also, check out an additional 5 tracks released from The Black Atlantic and their beyond awesome label Beep! Beep!

The band The Black Atlantic hails from a place in the Netherlands. Their acoustic music is rich, velvety and ethereal. It harkens out of darkness, spreading it’s wings against the painful light of day. If there is blood in your veins it will be chilled. If you have a heart it shall be touched. Those ears on either side of your head will burn for more, much more. Will you harken and listen? It simply doesn’t get much better than this, and I expect you will feel the same as I. Blown away. Listen to their latest offering of new songs below, and like me you’ll pre-order it before the last song has ended. Expect their forthcoming  sophomore LP release Darkling, I Listen on January 13th. I for one will be watching and waiting. Peace.
