Embeds allowing bloggers to easily embed videos from Distrify. Just go to any Distrify film page or player and copy the URL. Paste that URL in any WordPress blog and it will automatically be converted to an embedded Distrify player. If you are logged in to distrify.com it will automatically add your affiliate tracking code to your embeds. Make sure you turn on Auto-embeds in your WP settings and also make sure that the URL is on its own line and not hyperlinked (clickable when viewing the post). The plugin also extracts the still image from the film and saves it as the Featured Image for the post. This actually works for any Embed (not just Distrify) that you embed into your WordPress blog. The Dø is French/Finnish experimental pop-duo Olivia Merilahti and Dan Levy. I strongly suspect they’re not be from this planet. Which would explain quite a lot. No matter their origins,  the they create music is an incredible sound treat to your ears. I reviewed this band way back when their Both Ways Open Jaws album dropped mid-November on this side of the Atlantic. I particularly loved the first single “Dust It Off” as it’s still playing on loop inside my head. However, I’m making room inside my skull for the band’s additional sweet rendition of Janelle Monáe‘s song “Tightrope,” it is gonna really tickle your fancy place. And if that doesn’t do it for you (it will), then check out The Line of Best Fit session of the song “Slippery Slope” and I think the brassy horns will blow your hair back for you, in a good way. Mere minutes into the LP you’ll know the album Both Ways Open Jaws isn’t your typical album and you’re right. The duo consisting of Olivia Merilahti and Dan Levy, collectively known as The Dø, offer a unicorn of sorts among common earth bound steeds. Continuing the unicorn theme a bit further, this equine beast has an alicorn transmitting some funky, albeit wondrously groovy tracks. Out of the gate the album opens with the endearing “Dust It Off” and unfolds with a kaleidoscope of various gems, like “The Wicked & The Blind” and  “Bohemian Dances”. Will The Dø surprise you in so many uncharacteristic and wondrous ways? Yes. Is the music unnaturally spectacular? Also, yes. You can stream the entire album via Consequence Of Sound. Peace.
