Embeds allowing bloggers to easily embed videos from Distrify. Just go to any Distrify film page or player and copy the URL. Paste that URL in any WordPress blog and it will automatically be converted to an embedded Distrify player. If you are logged in to distrify.com it will automatically add your affiliate tracking code to your embeds. Make sure you turn on Auto-embeds in your WP settings and also make sure that the URL is on its own line and not hyperlinked (clickable when viewing the post). His self-titled Sub-Pop release marks a new unencumbered journey and sonically I am all in and loving it. Aussie song craftsman Dustin Tebbutt is new to me and although that isn’t necessarily a ringing endorsement it’s okay. Because once you listen to the music nothing else will matter anyway. His latest and forthcoming work will come to us in the form of the mini-album Home release. To date we have his study in all things tranquil and adulatory. Apt examples of such would be his Illuminate single and two splendid previous works: The Breach and Bones EPs.
 

 
Nevermind the Justin Vernon comparisons, for they will surely have their say. But where Mr. Vernon (Bon Iver) is mystical Dustin Tebbutt is straight forward, more linear and less variegated.

Dustin’s approach floats lyric melodies like spun out and silken emotion. His music packs too a well balanced temperance of beauty with a rippling tension just beneath. Altogether not dissimilar to the powerful formation of a burgeoning star viewed from a safe distance. After the jump I have also included both the audio and lyrics for the track Home.

La Luz always makes me want to pack up my shit and leave all other music behind. Makes me want to take an early retirement and get to chillin’ on a remote South American beach and drink San Miguel. And my adoration mostly has to do with the chill vibe (and mostly Shana Cleveland’s pale moon vocals) they collectively cast off. Recently the “ladies four” premiered a skulking-around-the-dark-edges track titled Believe My Eyes. And even though the track didn’t make it onto the band’s forthcoming Weirdo Shrines LP, its been dreaming of the light of day, and guess what? Well, it means that it’s rise and shine time for this hauntingly beautiful little number. Makes me happy.

And like I mentioned above, Even though this quaint lil’ diddly failed to make the Weirdo Shrines album cut, doesn’t mean the gods of dark beautiful songs hates you. It’s the opposite, they (the gods) in fact love you and here’s proof. Believe My Eyes is La Luz’s contribution to a series of singles posthumously giving a respectful nod to the late and great Ariel Panero and his Less Artists More Condos (LAMC) concert series. Here’s the deal-e-o, for each 7″ issued as part of LAMC, the A-side features an unreleased track by a band Famous Class Records likes (here, it’s La Luz), and said artist gets to choose another up-and-coming band they adore to be enshrined in wax on the B-side (in this case the Brooklyn garage-rock outfit Scully be the chosen one(s).
