Plugin Name: Distrify Embed
Plugin URI: http://support.distrify.com/customer/portal/articles/264106-how-do-i-embed-on-a-wordpress-blog-
Description: Extends WordPress's Embeds allowing bloggers to easily embed videos from Distrify. Just go to any Distrify film page or player and copy the URL. Paste that URL in any WordPress blog and it will automatically be converted to an embedded Distrify player. If you are logged in to distrify.com it will automatically add your affiliate tracking code to your embeds. Make sure you turn on Auto-embeds in your WP settings and also make sure that the URL is on its own line and not hyperlinked (clickable when viewing the post). The plugin also extracts the still image from the film and saves it as the Featured Image for the post. This actually works for any Embed (not just Distrify) that you embed into your WordPress blog.

I always wanted to go star gazing with a wondrous soundtrack to light my way heavenward…
From north of the U.S. border our brethren from Canada send us groove theory tidings in the form of a new single EP from Canadian producer Box of Wolves and London-based singer Christa VI. The track “Boy,” is all kinds of retro dance worthy. The EP release also features a B-Side titled “The Machine” and a remix by Toronto dance DJ/Producer Cyclist and fresh faced producer Summer Occasion. Peace. Continue reading “box of wolves // boy (ft. christa vi)”
It isn’t such a long walk to romantic perfection after all…
Mr. James Blake is something of an anomaly in the world of music in that he approaches music with a masculine delicacy unlike any other. Yes, there are all sorts of seducers out here, but Mr. Blake delivers his brand of love potion number 9 without pretension and raises the bar with an authentic genuineness that is both subtle and positively endearing. His most recent offering song “Digital Lion,” doesn’t “try” to be anything other than what it is… abundantly beautiful. On the track “Digital Lion,” James Blake teams up with the iconic Brian Eno and the results are in a word, beyond effective. This song and 11-others comprise the forthcoming album ‘Overgrown‘which drops digitally April 9th, 2013. Peace. Continue reading “james blake + brian eno // digital lion”
Don’t let the black and white photo fool you Atoms For Peace is a polychromatic wonderburst of kaleidoscopic proportions.
When it comes to modern contemporary pop music Thom Yorke has the Midas touch. Or so it seems. Mr. Yorke has a penchant for dance (the video for Lotus Flower anyone?. The Flea/Yorke project known as Atoms For Peace is anything but another permutation of Radiohead, it stretches and shape-shifts into ever interesting and enjoyable plateaus …well, let me shut-up and just let your ears & eyes enjoy the music. If you haven’t known the pleasure, you can cop the Atoms For Peace’s album AMOK here. Peace. Continue reading “atoms for peace // ingenue”
The sun shines on us all at one time or another and listening to electronic-dream pop duo Beacon (Thomas Mullarney and Jacob Gossett) has a similar warm sun-dappled feeling. Beacon will be releasing their shiny new LP on April 29th via Ghostly International bearing the title ‘The Ways We Separate.’ The release follows their head turning EPs ‘No Body’ and ‘For Now‘. Stream the lead track “Bring You Back” after the jump. Peace. Continue reading “beacon // bring you back”
Coming to us at the speed of slow-motion sound, the vibrating outer-spheres of consciousness are transmitting Mister Lies as he rains upon our collective heads the most sensuous noise shower ever.
Winter is drawing to a close, and in my mind the sky is melting sunshine and dripping star-glow aplenty. Now, the time has come for renewal and re-generation and the track “Dionysian,” is the perfect aural representation of all things newborn and reborn. Chicago-based producer/artist Mister Lies (aka Nick Zanca) forges music which taps into something primal within all of us, and if you can’t get with it then perhaps you need some chill-time therapy. Peace. Continue reading “mister lies // dionysian”
It is all there in the words and the beautiful music.
It is also a pleasant surprise when accomplished musicians band together to create beautiful music. case in point, the members of Malcanisten came together and created the haunting ode “Prophets.” It is overspilling with the dire characteristics of winter and the hopeful rebirth that is spring. I am hopeful of a full-length album in the works, but as long as the group keeps dropping songs of such high-caliber I’ll be a happy sated camper. Peace. Continue reading “malcanisten // prophets”
Fresh off his Grammy win Frank Ocean isn’t one to rest on his laurels. And to prove it here in yet another beautiful track by yours truly. Check out “Eyes Like Sky,” and it’s almost as if Mr. Ocean pens such gems effortlessly. Let’s just hope the quality output is never-ending. Peace. Continue reading “frank ocean // eyes like sky”
Surprisingly flights of musical fancy feel exactly like Luxury Liners sound. Awesome.
Luxury Liners is the new solo project of Carter Tanton under this new moniker, who will be releasing the debut album ‘They’re Flowers’ on April 2nd via Western Vinyl. Peace. Continue reading “luxury liners // valley high”
The sisters Staveley-Taylor sweet debut is all the wonderful stuff of sweet harmony.
There is much magic to behold inside the debut album of the British sister-act The Staves. Their ‘Dead & Born & Grown’ album drips seductively with folk-rock magic aplenty. A year ago we heard their Mexico EP and for many the love affair was solidified right there. Yet, it isn’t a surprise that their latest offering is even more beautiful and spellbinding, is it? The Staves create sounds which I can both rise to at the beginning of the day, yet I’m still humming along with each and every one even as the sun goes down. Yes, these are songs fitting any hour of the day, any day of the week or any month of any year. Yes, that good. You can get a copy of Dead & Born & Grown right here via iTunes. Peace. Continue reading “the staves // dead & born & grown (our sunday best)”
Other worldly? Yes. Beyond sky-high and twice as fly.
What’s a good time without some good music as accompaniment? Well, I’ll tell you this it isn’t much fun. So to prevent those would be ill-suited occurrences check out the Bondax’s “Gold” Moon Boots Remix. It’ll get ’em up out of their seats. Also, DJ/Producer Moon Boots helmed the latest Magic Tape Thirty Mix (The Magician) and it’s a certified banger. After the jump check out both Moon Boots offerings and download the Magic Tape Thirty Mix for free! Yes, I keep it jumpin’ up in here. Peace. Continue reading “bondax gold (moon boots remix)”
