The Hood Internet // Touch One (Khaled + Drake + Rick Ross + Lil’ Wayne + Holy Other + Supreme Cuts)

If you’re down, then you’re down. Aaron Brink (aka ABX) and Steve Reidell (aka STV SLV) known as The Hood Internet are down. And what exactly does being down entail. Well, for starters it means not having limitations regarding what a song or track can be. Then also, being down translates into being fearless, in that you follow your heart, and the groove wherever it takes you. On both counts the Chicago-based duo more than fit the bill. And if you’re not familiar check ’em out, but it’s going to take some doing because The Hood Internet’s back catalog is massive, like juggernaut style massive. For instance, if one could take all the mind alternating grooves they’ve collectively produced over the years and put then end to end they would ring Nirvana infinitely. Check out what these two gifted sound surgeons have done with the track “Touch One,” they’ve taken some of hip-hops finest and set them adrift upon a compendium of  sensuous sound waves. They’ve enwrapped them one and all is a soft gossamer shroud, and more importantly, nary a street cred was harmed in the making of this remix. You want more? Well, you can cop this track and plenty more at www.thehoodinternet.com Peace. Continue reading “The Hood Internet // Touch One (Khaled + Drake + Rick Ross + Lil’ Wayne + Holy Other + Supreme Cuts)”

Drake Ft. The Weeknd // Crew Love (Shlomo Remix)

No doubt, 2012 is going to reveal itself to be the year The Weeknd blew up sky-high into the stratosphere. And it seems as if The Weeknd‘s homie Drake is doing whatever he can to make sure  Abel Tesfaye gets a lot of shine. Check this track out, and although it says Drake is featuring The Weeknd it appears that it’s the other way around. Regardless, it’s smooth like a baby seal’s bottom, and Shlomo did a hell of a job making it even more chilli most. Peace. Continue reading “Drake Ft. The Weeknd // Crew Love (Shlomo Remix)”

Drake – Motto (Ft. Lil Wayne) Hey Zeus Remix

So many heads out here are eagerly anticipating the release of Drake‘s forthcoming LP Take Care. And with good reason, one look at some of the names expected to share space on the various tracks is impressive indeed: Stevie Wonder, Lil Wayne, and The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye) , that’s just the short list. However, you don’t have to wait to get a little slice of what’s to come. The track “Motto” is a rapper’s delight (Ha!) and more than a little braggadocio. But really that’s to be expected from two of the illest rappers out here today. Check ’em out while Drizzy and Weezy drop rhymes over this T-Minus production. Peace.
