Embeds allowing bloggers to easily embed videos from Distrify. Just go to any Distrify film page or player and copy the URL. Paste that URL in any WordPress blog and it will automatically be converted to an embedded Distrify player. If you are logged in to distrify.com it will automatically add your affiliate tracking code to your embeds. Make sure you turn on Auto-embeds in your WP settings and also make sure that the URL is on its own line and not hyperlinked (clickable when viewing the post). The plugin also extracts the still image from the film and saves it as the Featured Image for the post. This actually works for any Embed (not just Distrify) that you embed into your WordPress blog. the sherpas // wave to the water

Sometimes when someone makes a formal introduction in regards to a formally unknown band or artist it can be a fortuitous meeting. Several hours ago the band member Pierre Roxon forwarded to me such an introduction, and this review is my formal ‘thank you very much’.

The band The Sherpas comes to us from across the water, hailing from Exeter and Seaton (respectively), UK. According to other reports the band has been generating a lot of buzz, and making quite a name for itself, after listening to several tracks I can understand why.

Check out The Sherpas brand new video for Wave To The Water. The track is a toned down version of an imploding star and the sparks radiate rhythmically. Spoek Mathambo / / Put Some Red On It (Shabazz Palaces Remix)

According to his label Sub Pop Spoek Mathambo, “Spoek Mathambo makes the Afro-futurists look old school. With the arrival of his second album, Father Creeper, he’s one man building up an army to make his creative visions a reality, rewriting any artistic laws in his way.”

Well, I’m totally smitten and I’m loving the music, the flow, the vibe, his swag. Basically, I’m a fan, a new convert if you will. Plus, I’m earning massive cool points for puttin’ on music out of Johannesburg, South Africa. And oh, you got to check his take on the Joy Division‘s “She’s Lost Control” and if that doesn’t get you, well my friend we need to talk. Peace.
