listening to this new song by feed me & crystal fighters, “love is all i got” has me stoked!. hearing it over and over just gives me goosebumps atop my goosebumps. simply amazing and infectious multiplied by about a trillion. the super electro/dance music guru and uber-producer feed me adds just enough “dubstep spice” to take this one completely off the rails. but you’ll have to wait, the track won’t officially drop until november 11th. but rest assured crystal fighters are hard at work putting together there yet-untitled forthcoming sophomore album to released spring of 2013. and if you reside in europa (or if you just got it like that) you can catch their london show at the koko on thursday may 23rd 2013, they’ll be playing the new album live for your utter enjoyment. peace. eytan & the embassy // everything changes
sometimes a bit of pop magic happens and the world is a better place. and the east coast band eytan & the embassy rides the optimism wave all the way to shore and inland right into our hearts. the bands single, “everything changes” from which the album takes its name, is as buoyant bit of songcraft that will put a smile on your pretty (or handsome for you masculine types) face. you can also experience your own private listening party and hear the whole enchilada over at soundcloud. check out the video after the jump, and the star wars edition here. peace.
sarah williams white (sww) // your silence is killing me ep
i like surprises, don’t you? at times the most amazing things happen unexpectedly. case in point, the muse euterpe , you know the muse of song and music (according to olympian mythlogy), introduced me to the music of sarah williams white last night as I randomly searched for new and interesting music. needless to say i hit the jackpot. when one is in a quiet place, hearing sarah williams white for the first time is akin to listening to the inner most thoughts of suburbia reaching out it’s hand to the urban and different. it is also an artist traversing the fine line in-betwixt those two extremes and pulling it off adroitly.
although the ‘your silence is killing me’ ep was released via monosole on september 24th it doesn’t really matter. this is the second release for sww this year, the first being, “if smile at you/take your time“. at any rate, you can check both out after the jump, and you can cop the former on itunes. peace. quixotism // sooner
there is beauty for the taking if you are willing to venture off the beaten paths and stargaze with me. like a sunflower turn your ears to the sun, and know warmth. listening to the track, “sooner” by quixotism is a tactile sensual experience. your breathing will slow, and perhaps your eyes will glaze over with total euphoria. for more of this audible aphrodisiac, stream the 12-track (name your price) album on the band’s bandcamp page. this is a release ready-made for nighttime and flickering candlelight, and a warm body pressed up close wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing at all. peace. naytronix // in the summer
oakland, california based multiĀ-instrumentalist/producer nate brenner (think tUnE-yArDs & beep!) is an alchemist of sound, in that he is more than able to adeptly fashion realities out of dreamscape. with his latest musical project naytronix he has explored the outer realms and returned with the 11-track debut lp ‘dirty glow‘. after the jump check out, “in the summer” & “baby don’t walk away” and be mesmerized by the confluence of hashish high and funk-soaked groove. peace. hello echo // coffee cups ep
the boston, massachusetts-based band hello echo have a gritty alt rock -n- roll thing going on, and i like it! with the trio’s latest release, titled ‘coffee cups ep‘, you get a strong taste of what’s to come. the release contains three songs which showcase why rolling stone magazine dubbed them a band to watch, but never that, just listen to the self-titled song “coffee cups”, “i wore it too” and my hands-down favorite, “country“. all of the songs provide ample reason why this band will be more than a passing infatuation. also, check the twangy yet beautiful track, “close your eyes and see” from the band’s debut lp ‘and as an extra nice bonus watch (and listen) to the neil young cover ‘everybody knows this is nowhere“hello‘ after the jump. peace.
