Young Rival adds a distinct rock edge to your summer playlist with their southern rock punk track Interior Light. This offering sounds like a mashup of The War On Drugs, The Strokes and Of Montreal. Not bad musical references if you ask me. The Interior Light single is out now courtesy of Paper Bag Records. Look for the album bearing the same name to drop October 16th. hands // brave motion + official video

The official Johnny Woods-directed/animated video for Brave Motion from Hands, is a full-blown color smeared action movie montage (by the way, love the care crashing in the helicopter). The song hails from the  debut LP Synesthesia out now courtesy of Kill Rock Stars Records. Silversun Pickups // Neck Of The Woods

Grooms – 3D Voices (Prom)

Admittedly, there is a lot of bands out there, some good, some bad and some…eh! Then there are bands who somehow rise to the top. Or maybe its just by blind luck that a certain ratio of individuals are brought together by chance and then assemble into something as wunderschön as Grooms. It took some doing, but this machine purrs. Emily Ambruso , Travis Johnson and Jim Sykes make this a trio to remember. Listen to “3D Voices” taken form their Prom EP.  Its all there, the dreamy voice, seductive bass, and guitar work imbued with mounting distortion right up to the final cosmic crescendo; then you want sex.
