skrillex & damian “jr. gong” marley // make it bum dem

If you like the club scene and you like to dance until your feet holla’ stop gotdamnit! Then you can’t go wrong with a Skrillex collaboration, no way, no how. So, I’m bringing the party with two great selections. First up, the Skrillex & Damian ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley, “Make It Bum Dem” and it’s hot like fire! And it doesn’t stop there, no way! Second, it’s Kaskade and Skrillex laying waste to the track, “Lick It”! Who says House and Dubstep can’t commingle and still bring it?! Peace. xxxy // i know this (can’t be love)

One of the best kept secrets out of Manchester, U.K. is dj/producer xxxy bka Rupert Taylor. I describe his work as glassy bass, because is so clean. And with the sticky deep lows akin to stepping into a deep chasm and well-traveled frenetic beats. It all makes for a memorable (and global) experience whenever I hear his music. The latest track “I Know This (Can’t Be Love) taken for the Everything EP is all you want in a club track (it has sex appeal aplenty). I also put up additional club all-stars from xxxy, “Ordinary Things” and “You Always Start It,” both are sure to titillate your ear drums. For more, check xxxy’s Soundcloud. Enjoy. Peace. Karin Park // Fryngies (Moullinex Remix)

What happens when a girl from Dalarna, Sweden, grows up with the stunning voice of an angel? Well, she makes a living as a singer, duh! I’m talking about Karin Park, and she is indeed blessed (and badass). Karin’s latest LP draws references from a myriad of after dark and dance inspiring influences, i.e. Dubstep, Industrial, Electro, as well as the dirty deeds of Synthpop, all this wrapped around Ms. Park’s hauntingly beautiful voice. My favorite remix here is the Funtcase treatment, love it! After the jump check out additional mixes, as well as the original “Fryngies.” This one is a new favorite and is getting lots of play whilst using the night as cover for legal (mostly) and unmentionable deeds. I hope you like it too. Peace. Continue reading “Karin Park // Fryngies (Moullinex Remix)”

Kele // What Did I Do // Ft. Lucy Taylor (All The Lights Remix)

Propaganda aside, Kele Okereke (of Bloc Party fame) is still with Bloc Party. That being said, you can check him out doing his solo thing.  His first solo effort The Boxer (2010) was met with moderate success, then Kele dropped his follow-up The Hunter (2011). Now, even if you missed all that it’s cool. Kele is still with Bloc Party, and you can still check out his newly reworked remix Ft. Lucy Taylor. I think it’s a winner, but hell what do I know. Peace. J Flash // Flashbang.002

Denver, Colorado denizen J Flash (Jack Botsford) continues to bring it! Fresh off the major success of his two previous releases SWAG and That’ll Work we see this young up and coming DJ/Producer igniting speaker boxes like neutron bombs once again. So get up and do a few stretches and some deep breathing exercises, then click play and dance until you fracture something. By the way, you can get this 30-minute mixtape as a totally righteous FREE DOWNLOAD! Peace. Continue reading “J Flash // Flashbang.002”

lucky date // six 16 (original mix)

Jordan Atkins-Loria is Lucky Date and by the sound of his latest track “Six 16” we are indeed very lucky to have him. This Chicago-based DJ/Producer is taking us to the moon, and hopefully we’ll return only after we’ve danced ourselves sparkling clean. Like me you’ll want this one for yourself, and you can get it lickety-split, via Bazooka Records at BeatPort. Happy dancing. Peace. Continue reading “lucky date // six 16 (original mix)”

st. andrew // midnight girlfriend

I am kicking the vibe into a decidedly club direction until the wee hours of a new day. Question is, do you have the stamina to hang tough? I’ve delved into the deep dark recesses of my iPod and pulled up hellified tracks from the shadows. First up is St. Andrew and his wickedly sick track “Midnight Girlfriend.” This one is like hooking up jumper-cables to your central nervous system and sippin’ some Montrachet 1978 (my shout out do Dionysus & MzSOULcialite). So, hold on tight and let’s get this party started! Peace. Continue reading “st. andrew // midnight girlfriend”
