Plugin Name: Distrify Embed
Plugin URI: http://support.distrify.com/customer/portal/articles/264106-how-do-i-embed-on-a-wordpress-blog-
Description: Extends WordPress's Embeds allowing bloggers to easily embed videos from Distrify. Just go to any Distrify film page or player and copy the URL. Paste that URL in any WordPress blog and it will automatically be converted to an embedded Distrify player. If you are logged in to distrify.com it will automatically add your affiliate tracking code to your embeds. Make sure you turn on Auto-embeds in your WP settings and also make sure that the URL is on its own line and not hyperlinked (clickable when viewing the post). The plugin also extracts the still image from the film and saves it as the Featured Image for the post. This actually works for any Embed (not just Distrify) that you embed into your WordPress blog.

Basecamp the Nashville, TN trio that’s been on a tear for a few years now (Watch My Back, Smoke Filled Lungs, Shudder). The band’s latest release the Greater Than EP is six tracks of exactly why we love these guys. The fourth track on the EP Esc gets the remix treatment with Esc (Swindail Remix) and the Esc (josh pan & X&G Remix). I can’t decide which version I like the bestest. Maybe you can help me decide? Peace.
Band: Basecamp
Release: Greater Than EP
Featured Track: esc
Label: OWSLA
iTunes
Esc: Lyrics
You stopped
Dead in your tracks
A ghost from the past
Had come back to play
To fuck up your day
But
You spot an exit
A door standing red lit
You leave it to chance
But you’re worried ‘cuz you’d rather go up than down
You never like to hear the sound
She makes
You’d rather go up than down
But she’s still gonna give and you’re still gonna take it
Yeah, you’re still gonna take it now
It’ll all be better when the clock runs out
(Say it til it’s true)
(Say it til it’s true)
But I don’t want to feel what I felt when I fell back down
(Nothing you could do)
(Nothing you could do)
I could smell the smoke
But could not see the flames
Never thought we’d choke
But I had forgot your name
In the dark
All the wounds we had opened
Seemed more like a reason to bury the pain
And the fork
In the paths we had chosen
Had made it too easy to open gate
And I know
The deeper it goes
The deeper it goes
The more it unfolds
I get further from ever getting far away
The deeper it goes
The deeper it goes
The lies that were told
I get lost in the storm of the hell I made
The deeper it goes
The deeper it goes
The more it unfolds
I get further from ever getting far away
The deeper it goes
The deeper it goes
The lies that were told
I get lost in the storm of the hell I made.

Basecamp consits of Aaron Miller, Aaron C. Harmon and Jordan Reyes and together they one of my favorite music production teams. Hailing from Nashville (I know right) this team of talented musicians, songwriters and producers do music so right it glistens like a lingering kiss. With the first single Watch My Back from their forthcoming Greater Than EP it looks (read sounds) like they’re laying another winner upon our greedy ears. The Greater Thank EP drops August 21st via OWSLA. You can listen and Pre-Order after the jump. Peace.

Watch My Back: Lyrics
Sweet as our slumber
Sharp like an axe
Can you remember?
How good what we had
You can’t tell me you don’t mean to
And I can’t act like this is right
The game we play has gotten oh so see through
At the end of the day, what’s one more night?
So, I watch my back, whenever you are not in my front
Brace for attack, ’cause I never really know what you want
But when the lights go down
It’s a torture that I cannot resist
I should turn around, I suppose I could stay if you insist, oh
Goes fast I’m falling
And he leaves like a ghost
So lonely, so haunting
My poisonous host
You can’t tell me you don’t love it
and I’d be lying if I said I mind
I could pretend that I am above it
At the end of the day, what’s one more time
So, I watch my back, whenever you are not in my front
Brace for attack, ’cause I never really know what you want
But when the lights go down
It’s a torture that I cannot resist
I should turn around, I suppose I could stay if you insist, oh
I can play your fool, it’s such a small price to pay
Let me break your rules, I promise you won’t complain
I can play your fool, it’s such a small price to pay
Let me break your rules, I promise you won’t complain
But I watch my back, whenever you are not in my front
Brace for attack, ’cause I never really know what you want
But when the lights go down
It’s a torture that I cannot resist
I should turn around, I suppose I could stay if you insist
Oh, ooh oh oh oh
Oh, ooh oh oh oh
Oh, ooh oh oh oh
Oh, ooh oh oh oh

And if you have been charting Chet’s continual rise over the years, then surely you have noticed beards are the de facto accoutrement of manly cool as of late, and the constant output and high level of badassery of this Aussie are the star stuff streaking across your earlobe.
Ahywho, it would serve you right to lay your optics upon the official music video for Gold, taken from Chet Faker’s debut album ‘Built On Glass‘. Basically, I told you so and you’re welcome. Peace.

My plan for today’s music is simple. I am going to ratchet it up then bring it back down.
Starting with the latest release from dj/producer Henry ‘Riton’ Smithson, check out his bouncy electro machine-gun style Suckers featuring Rita Ora and Le Dust Sucker. As a kid Riton got his first taste of the electronic music seen when he heard Wen Bomb The Bass and MARRS “Pump Up The Volume, and now he’s influencing a generation of would be mix-masters with his own special blend of electronic music wizardry. For the best of Riton check out his releases on Carte Blanche records and his Lost My Mind EP. Peace.
P.S. Is it me or do my ears pick up on a stylistic shadow of Aaliyah’s One In A Million underneath this one here? Great track for a summer weekend!

]]>Maud Geffray and Sébastien Chenut are kind of a Parisian dynamic duo when it comes to creating deep musically creative music. In my mind what they do is assemble these incredible soundtracks which combine the best elements of fear and beauty. On their track “Waiting” featuring Koudlam, the song builds and stalks as the listener huddles down beneath it’s tantalizing menace. But in the end it swallows you up majestically and you couldn’t be happier. Look for the new album ‘Communion‘ to be released January 28th. Just a couple of things, the above photo is courtesy of Brain Magazine and my favorite SM album is Enemy & Lovers. Peace.
