Plugin Name: Distrify Embed
Plugin URI: http://support.distrify.com/customer/portal/articles/264106-how-do-i-embed-on-a-wordpress-blog-
Description: Extends WordPress's Embeds allowing bloggers to easily embed videos from Distrify. Just go to any Distrify film page or player and copy the URL. Paste that URL in any WordPress blog and it will automatically be converted to an embedded Distrify player. If you are logged in to distrify.com it will automatically add your affiliate tracking code to your embeds. Make sure you turn on Auto-embeds in your WP settings and also make sure that the URL is on its own line and not hyperlinked (clickable when viewing the post). The plugin also extracts the still image from the film and saves it as the Featured Image for the post. This actually works for any Embed (not just Distrify) that you embed into your WordPress blog.

Basecamp the Nashville, TN trio that’s been on a tear for a few years now (Watch My Back, Smoke Filled Lungs, Shudder). The band’s latest release the Greater Than EP is six tracks of exactly why we love these guys. The fourth track on the EP Esc gets the remix treatment with Esc (Swindail Remix) and the Esc (josh pan & X&G Remix). I can’t decide which version I like the bestest. Maybe you can help me decide? Peace. Continue reading “basecamp | esc | swindail + josh pan & x&g remixes”
TEEN is a band manned with four future UN ambassadors for the of Island Fun! And while this may (or may not) be entirely a truism it rings as such. Teeny Lieberson and company have spun out (through not fault of their own) yet another wonderfully jollified diversion. The music this band puts out is multi-useful too. Say you’re one to worry about such mundane things as so-in-so liking you or the overdue mortgage. Well, this is the album you most assuredly need to drop the needle on muy pronto! And just so you know this album pairs incredibly well with a pint or two (ice cream or beer, your choice). The album Love Yes is out right this very moment via Carpark Records. Peace. Continue reading “teen | tokyo”
Basecamp consits of Aaron Miller, Aaron C. Harmon and Jordan Reyes and together they one of my favorite music production teams. Hailing from Nashville (I know right) this team of talented musicians, songwriters and producers do music so right it glistens like a lingering kiss. With the first single Watch My Back from their forthcoming Greater Than EP it looks (read sounds) like they’re laying another winner upon our greedy ears. The Greater Thank EP drops August 21st via OWSLA. You can listen and Pre-Order after the jump. Peace. Continue reading “basecamp | watch my back”
Lisbon, Portugal-based Gala Drop exudes the psychedelic essence of Peter Murphy meets galactic groits. The video for the You And I offering matches visually what the music pantomimes with every beat of it’s hippyish acid tripping heart. Continue reading “gala drop | you and i”
The Basement Tapes is shrouded in a bit of mysterioso and that’s okay, as long as the producer man behind the music keeps us all entertained with great music (so far so good). Continue reading “the basement tapes | electric”
There is a bunch of great music coming out of New Zealand and Electric Wire Hustle is one of the soulful Marvin Gaye-esque best. With the duos track Look In The Sky which is all the evidence you need to go gaga over their recent Love Can Prevail album. Continue reading “electric wire hustle | look in the sky”
A-Trak is credited with being one of most talented DJ/Producers working today. And with his latest sound creation Push he solidifies once again why our bodies respond in frenetically to his beatiful music.
Detroit native Black Milk needs not an introduction. No herald nor entourage either is required to create a sense of presence or permanence. All this very capable emcee needs to do is to man his electrified equipment and open his mouth to that other dimension and flow freely. Continue reading “black milk | if there’s a hell below”
Little Dragon has found a way to mass produce delight in the form of bars, vocals and melody. And if you want to do something good for yourself then get the vocals of lead vocalist Yukimi Nagano inside your ears STAT! Continue reading “little dragon | klapp klapp”
The Leeds band Alt-J is pretty amazing as is, but when you put a solid track such as Hunger Of The Pine in the very inventive and capable hands of the exceptional producers of The Golden Pony sparks fly. Look at Mr. and Mr. The Golden Pony’s record, for it reads like the successive accomplishments of some very astute mixologists. Yet, to classify Timothy Monkiewicz and Thomas Murphy as simply mixers of music is not telling the whole story. Consider the following lifted from their Facebook fanpage: Continue reading “alt-j | hunger of the pine | the golden pony remix”
