i have been an ardent fan of guitar prodigy/multi-instrumentalist/singer and songwriter blake mills since i discovered his beautiful music nearly a year ago. so, it is with great pleasure that i present to you the song, “curable disease” via a ‘yours truly session’, which puts on display why so many are so intrigued by this rising musician. if you haven’t check out his debut release ‘break mirrors‘ (2010). currently blake is out on tour with fionna apple. and for those lucky souls residing in the san francisco area you can catch blake mills playing with his former bandmates (dawes) at the independent december 30th and 31st. peace. i have been so intrigued with the singer/songwriter king krule for some time now, and with each new song it is easy to see the grow and sonic expansion of this young london artist. today i got another wonderfully jangly tune, “rock bottom” and it’s filled with frenetic energy and personal accolades spun around archy marshall‘s unique vocals. this track is taken from his double a-side single out now via rinse. peace.
