Cursive – The Recluse

What I love most about writing a music blog is the constant discoveries I unearth. The scenario this weekend: Internet + Beer + Insomnia = the discovery of several bands and artists I’ll be writing about this week, one of which is the band Cursive. The band with its cast of characters, Tim Kasher (vocals, guitar), Ted Stevens (guitar, vocals), Patrick Newbery (keys) with Matt Maginn (bass) and Cully Symington (drums) has been around since the mid-90’s. They’ve assembled a pretty impressive body of work under their collective belt. Most notably Domestica (2000], and 2010’s Mama, I’m Swollen among others. I got a few of their songs here the “Recluse” and “The Martyr”, and they have a new LP I Am Gemini, dropping February 17th. The Cursive has so much more good stuff, definitely give ’em some of your time. And about my music obsession. Well yeah, I’m a bit maniacal with a touch of OCD about it, but you dear fan are the recipient and beneficiary of my ailments. Peace.

This song is so great cranked up to 11!
