The Austin, Texas Empire Machines is a five-piece indie psych outfit and they’re gearing up for a massive summer. But for now, we’ll make do with their latest single Scenes. The band of five have been doing the rock band thing since 2011 and next year they’re dropping their debut long play. I can’t wait. And with the way this band sounds I am pretty sure they’ll catch fire. Peace.

Empire Machines, Scenes, Lyrics
I have this dream
where she’s walking in a new fashion
and the maitre’d sweetly asks her
where she’s going to all alone
going to all alone
I’ve got some scenes
with the swimmers in the low light
where the jesters won’t be in mind
but she’s headed there all alone
headed there all alone
and she won’t care
no, she won’t care
there’s everywhere
cause she don’t care
she loves the road
the rushing of the blurred pines
how the faces twist and go by
where she’s headed to I don’t know
headed to I don’t know
I see release
where the mountains kill the hourglass
all the friends closing, counting cash
and she’s doing it on her own
doing it all alone
and she won’t care
no, she won’t care
there’s everywhere
cause she don’t care
I see sun
and older love
my only one
underneath above
and she won’t care
no, she won’t care
there’s everywhere
cause she won’t care.
