Plugin Name: Distrify Embed
Plugin URI: http://support.distrify.com/customer/portal/articles/264106-how-do-i-embed-on-a-wordpress-blog-
Description: Extends WordPress's Embeds allowing bloggers to easily embed videos from Distrify. Just go to any Distrify film page or player and copy the URL. Paste that URL in any WordPress blog and it will automatically be converted to an embedded Distrify player. If you are logged in to distrify.com it will automatically add your affiliate tracking code to your embeds. Make sure you turn on Auto-embeds in your WP settings and also make sure that the URL is on its own line and not hyperlinked (clickable when viewing the post). The plugin also extracts the still image from the film and saves it as the Featured Image for the post. This actually works for any Embed (not just Distrify) that you embed into your WordPress blog.

Deleted Scenes was a band but they called it quits just about a year ago and I miss them.
If you ever drank from the cups of sorrow and woe well into the night then these are the songs that’ll keep you sane. These are songs fit for raging and swinging your fists into the guilty seconds, minutes and hours. But these are also the songs that’ll becalm your white water pulse and allow you, to if not see reason, then to at least see your way through the night. I say check ’em out and get some Deleted Scenes into your life loving ears. You’ll be better off for it. Peace. Continue reading “deleted scenes | throwback thursday”
Unknown Mortal Orchestra dips a toe into the pseudo-psychotropic wading pool and the results are seismic. The track Multi-Love has all the earmarks of a full-fledged summer jam. The track is lifted from the band’s forthcoming Multi-Love album due to drop May 26th via Jagjaguwar. Peace. Continue reading “unknown mortal orchestra | multi-love”
J. Viewz is (Jonathan Dagan ) and he’s likeable much like a good beer (or wine if you’re a wino, no offense mind you). And since I like a good craft beer the metaphor is an apt one. Any old ways I digress. Give the track Into The Light (ft. Wild Cub) a listen and I’m betting you’ll like it too. If not, oh well I tried. You can find this tranquil and dreamy track and others via The DNA Project. Peace.

Hailing from the Kent region just outside of bustling LondonWill Joseph Cook lays it on the line bare and beautiful. His song Message is an open-hearted foray into introspection and a willingness to chase a dream or two.
This track is lifted from Mr. Cook’s new EP You Jump I Run, which you most assuredly can Pre-Order right here, right now. The You Jump I Run EP drops April 21st. Peace.

London native Emmy The Great (aka Emma-Lee Moss) offer a very endearing track in the sound form of Swimming Pool. I love this offering for its laid back nonplussed delivery and the quite admire it for being a non-conventional backin male vocals. That’s it and I like it. Peace.

Natalie Prass is a Nashville-based singer/songwriter who has not only matured into a strong presence on the indie music scene. But, the constancy of her ability to eviscerate a listener’s emotions to smithereens is still very much front and center. Continue reading “natalie prass | my baby don’t understand me”
Conor Oberst has been a favorite of mine for many a moon. Heck, who could resist his various incarnations. From the days of Bright Eyes and the intimately warm and fuzzy put him on the map video First Day Of My Life, which is still after all these years one of my favorite songs hands down. The Leeds band Alt-J is pretty amazing as is, but when you put a solid track such as Hunger Of The Pine in the very inventive and capable hands of the exceptional producers of The Golden Pony sparks fly. Look at Mr. and Mr. The Golden Pony’s record, for it reads like the successive accomplishments of some very astute mixologists. Yet, to classify Timothy Monkiewicz and Thomas Murphy as simply mixers of music is not telling the whole story. Consider the following lifted from their Facebook fanpage: Continue reading “alt-j | hunger of the pine | the golden pony remix”
Are you privy to the newly coined axiom (I made it up) which posits, “What happens Down Under will irrevocably come to light”? Well, Melbourne duo GL is so out of the shadows one may mistake them for the bright sun rising in the eastern sky. GL offers us lightning in a bottle once again with their latest track What Happened To Us. Continue reading “gl | what happened to us”
