poliça // tiff remix

Wad up Doc?

Poliça’s track Tiff remixed by The Weeknd, Drake producer Doc McKinney

Last month, Poliça unveiled the graphic NABIL-directed video for Tiff. Along with the clip, the band released the cover art and track release for their forthcoming LP, Shulamith. Today, the band have announced an October 22nd date for the album, and offered up a re-envisioned version of Tiff, helmed by Drake-collaborator and producer behind The Weeknd, Doc McKinney.

Listen to the track after the jump, and head over to thisispolica.com for Shulamith cover art and album lyrics. Peace.

the weeknd // twenty-eight (explicit = nsfw)

More like forty-days and forty-nights of something totally intoxicating.

The Weeknd is a crooner par excellence and his track (and video) are no exception. If you are a fan of Mr. Abel Tesfaye, well, the song “Twenty-Eight,” has everything you’ve come to expect from this Toronto native. It is soulful, sexy and ringed by vocals that will send shivers across her erogenous zones (hey, less work for you right?). By the way this video is a bit explicit so handle your business and show some discretion. Peace. Continue reading “the weeknd // twenty-eight (explicit = nsfw)”

the weeknd // wicked games

The Weeknd has been building tremendous hype for the past couple of years. So naturally there is a great deal of anticipation for his debut trilogy album. Unfortunately, the minus is his debut release contains material we’ve already heard on his previous mixtapes. The positive, is the songs are remastered for this release. Yeah,it’s a small thing. but the big plus is the addition of three new songs, “Twenty Eight”, “Valerie” and “Till Dawn (Here Comes The Sun)”. You can cop the trilogy via itunes. peace. ellie goulding // anything could happen (submerse remix)

for me the adoration of ms. ellie goulding started with her delicate voice as it sung earlier, and memorable tunes such as, “under the sheets” and the acoustic laden ode “wish i stayed”. but more recently, with her remake of the weeknd’s “high for this” i was smitten all over again. so it is with great anticipation i await the release of her forthcoming sophomore album ‘halcyon’. the album drops october 8th but you can pre-order it via itunes. peace.
