The music of The Lumineers is kindling and coal for the quiet fires which rage inside our hearts. The music warms and radiates with all that is the ache and unabated forbearance of our daily lives. But also, the music of The Lumineers does something else; it cauterizes. The songs have a way of closing up the wounds, which left unattended, can haunt a soul a lifetime. I’m sure you’ve heard the oft radio played Ho Hey, it was the song which got our attention, but it is the plainsongs, Stubborn Love, Slow It Down, Charli Boy and (my favorite) Morning Song, which will reverberate within your bones and call to you again and again.
