things we like: tracing skylines

Tracing Skylines.

Tracing Skylines is a mini-documentary showcasing off the beaten path adventures of five professional skiers and their respective journeys to find interesting and challenging locals to plow powder.

Watch Sean Pettit rediscovering his home turf in British Columbia. Logan Pehota gets dropped into remote Alaska and uses a lighthouse as a home base, there he launches a helicopter expedition and finds fresh terrain to attack.

See what Pep Fujas does in the back-country on a pure white canvas of fresh snowfall. Who’s trekking the grueling 100km (62 Miles) historic high alpine route between Chamonix, France and Zermatt, Switzerland? The answer? It’s
Julien Regnier and company and yes, it looks like a lot of fun.

My favorite segment. Witness Karl Fostvedt and few friends take urban skiing to a whole new level by spending time searching for the perfect jib, drop and jump amidst the concrete jungle and urban blight that is found amongst the dilapidated segments of Detroit.

At the films end, watch Bobby Brown as he brings the crew back together for a spectacular spring session to wrap up a winter wonderland season that won’t soon be forgotten.

The soundtrack is pretty dope as well. Give it a listen. Peace.
